Sheep Slaughtering Kyrgyz Tradition to Welcome Guests

The photograph was taken at Akbasova village,

Bishkek City during invitation of Kyrgyz feast. Kyrgyz follows a set tradition to welcome their guests. If an animal such as sheep was slaughtered in the guest's honour, different portion of that meat is presented to the guests as per different ages. Gender & levels.

The head is presented to the eldest or the youngest male who later cut pieces of (eyeballs, tongue, jowels, ears etc) which is distributed as per: The hip bone is given to the oldest and the respected guest either man or woman, the tail section to the most respected & older woman & the spine to the children.
