The China Pavilion - Shanghai - World Expo 2010

Futuristic building being constructed with design synergies showcasing historical Chinese culture for :-

World Expo 2010 Shanghai China

Features :-

• Design concept on a ‘Oriental Crown’

• The oriental crown, standing 63 meters in height

• Using traditional dougong brackets and features wooden brackets fixed layer upon layer between the top of a column and a crossbeam

• Main colour is "Gugong (Forbidden City) Red" which represents the taste and spirit of Chinese culture

• Estimated cost of 1.5 Billion Yuan

• The China Pavilion comprises of three sections

• The National Hall 20,000-square meters

• Provinces and Regions 30,000-square meters

• Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan share 3,000-square meters

As a permanent landmark in the inner part of Pudong New Area, the structure will adopt ecological sound technologies and energy-saving measures
