• Miss Li XiangJun's bedroom, musical room,and reading room are upstairs

• In the local protective unit of culture relics by the Commission for Protecting Culture Relics of Nanjing Municipality

• Li Xiangjun was from Suzhou of Jiangsu Province

• She was known as one of "the Eight Beauties of the Qinhuai Area" together with Dong Xiaowan, Chen Yuanyuan, Gu Hengbo and other four ladies

• Li Xiangjun and Hou Fangyu (one of the four most famous young scholars in South Ming Dynasty) fell in love with each other at first sight

• Hou Fangyu was devoted to fighting against the eunuch factions and overturning the Qing regime to restore the Ming Dynasty

• They lived in the Jade Mansion

• However, due to her low birth and her past as a courtesan, Li Xiangjun was later banished to Manor of the Hou Family (now called Manor of Lady Li), where she died from depression

A famous Chinese National Play is :-

• "1699 Peach Blossom Fan"

The love story between singer Li Xiangjun and scholar Hou Fangyu reflects the dynastic turn from Ming to Qing at a grand scale

1699 was the year in which the play was completed
