Darts in Bangkok. April6, 2008. Chef Paul our irascible Aussie correspondent, who gave us such a fine report on his Thai Cooking School outing last week is now on tour of Bangkok with the South Sukhumvit All Stars Darts team. The All Stars home base is the De Pelican Hotel on Sukhumvit 22. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays these wizards go on tour showing off their extraordinary dartsmanship at selected pubs around Bangkok. They are rarely defeated such is their artistry with tossing the dart. In Saturday nights competition the team which includes Thailand's number 1 and 2 top professional players [ you may have seen them on ESPN] consistently scored 100+ and 180 scores in fierce good hearted competition with the local challengers. Chef Paul has promised to keep us updated on exploits of these fine sportsmen.
