Arunagiri was outraged that a worker would reject him, so somehow he found out she had joined a match making center. So then Arunagiri pwho knew quite a bit about electronics assembled a bomb and packed the explosive in a parcel purporting to being sent to P.Jyothi from the matchmakers with the senders name ‘Andu from Cuddalore’ on the package. This was the name of a person that Jyothi knew had expressed interest to make contact with her.

Then on June 28, 2011 D. Arunagiri sent the package by courier to P.Jyothi who was excited to receive the parcel which she opened on arrival and she was killed instantly as the bomb exploded as she was opening the parcel.

The police have arrested D. Arunagiri and he is being held in custody charged with murder.
