Barbaric justice Iranian style as 43 year old mother of two is sentenced to death by stoning for committing adultery (having sex) with two men in 2006.

She is :-

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani

The crime she has been sentenced for allegedly having sex with the 2 men that murdered her husband, The initial sentence was that she should be lashed 99 times. Then they upgraded her fate to the death sentence and for the last five years she has been incarcerated in prison waiting to be stoned to death. Human rights groups and Amnesty International have been objecting to the stone age prosecution, however the Iranian courts and government have remained aloof and have held their position.

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani has a 16 year old daughter Farideh, and a 20 year old son Sajad.

The scenario for the stoning is that men are buried in the sand up to the waist. Women are buried to above their breasts as the barbarians say it would be painful if breasts are stoned, and of course for dignity it is not allowed for breasts to be exposed. There is a way the sentence can be adjusted is that namely during the stoning if the man or woman manage to wriggle and struggle to free the body from the sand the stoning will stop and they may be acquitted or jailed as they have escaped from the immoral stoning debacle. Typically the stones used in this gory macabre execution have not to be too big or too small, as death is ideally achieved in around 20 minutes, however if bigger or smaller stones are used the death timeline may be too short or too long. 20 minutes is all OK, they say! – as death is neither mercifully quick nor endlessly prolonged!

The Iranians actions are beyond belief the Nuclear threat, the promise to wipe out Israel, stonings in the local town and city squares. Riot police killing students when they demonstrate against the government. We could go on and on!

Oh by the way, fancy a holiday in Iran with your buddies, sounds like a good idea in exploring the middle east. Then you could languish in prison for months or years, until your country of origin politically secure your release.
