A massive 8.9 Tsunami has hit the north Japanese coastal area of

The earthquake struck Friday afternoon at 14.46 hours on March 11, 2011

The epicenter 50 miles under the sea approximately 80 miles off the north Japan coast

Tsunami waves have been reported to have hit Sendai moving at speeds of up to 500 miles an hour

Ten meter high waves have pounded the coastline!

Deaths and damage are expected to be of a magnitude never experienced before in Japan

This is the huge force of nature which has dumped millions of tons of water onto Sendai City and very large surrounding areas

The first responders have a daunting and long term rescue and clean up operation underway

Reported deaths 3 to date less than three hours after the 1446 Tsunami aka 1446 Earthquake!

Breaking News 5 deaths to date!

Just in 19 dead!
