Welcome to the new year and the axe looms in the EPL – English Premier League with many team managers jostling to get in position to be the first manager to be axed in 2011
The list is a long one, here goes with some random candidates
Axe #1 – Liverpool FC - Roy Hodgson one of the press favorites to be axed in the new year, the irony of this selection is that if the new Anfield owners wield the axe they will be axing one of the few managers in the world who is capable of reviving the hapless Liverpool team
Axe #2 – Fulham FC – Mark Hughes a once great footballer but next to useless as a team manager the sooner club owner Mohamed Al-Fayed sacks Hughes the quicker the team will begin to climb back up the EPL table
Axe #3 – West Ham United – Avram Grant manages a team that is struggling in the bottom three and a relegation battle is on for survival but changing the team boss does not look the solution to save the Hammers from relegation. If Grant stays he may well save the east London side from the drop!
Axe #4 – Chelsea FC - Carlo Ancelotti – There are many problems at Stamford Bridge but the bookies and the tabloid press have indicated that Roman Abramovich maybe getting set to axe Carlo. The irony of this speculation is that you never know what to expect next from Roman!
Axe #5 – Newcastle United FC – Alan Pardew should never have been appointed in the first place as Chris Hughton was doing a top job. But crazy owner Mike Ashley kicked out Hughton and within days brought in the clueless inept dim Pardew. Stranger things have happened in life but one thing is sure that the damp squid Ashley Pardew duo have no single idea how to run an EPL football club
Our favorite for the axe would be the no hoper Alan Pardew but we are likely to be wrong and all arrows point to Roy Hodgson, which would not make sense to us, but then again not much ever makes sense in the EPL Sack Race
